Whether delivered in your home or condo, at our Leaside Studio or virtually, our workouts are fully customized, highly-effective and, most importantly, safe. They’re also fun (most of the time!) and super rewarding.
Though we train clients of all ages and fitness levels, we specialize in working with adults 50+ and those with special or unique needs (chronic pain, injury rehab, etc.)
Our flagship offering, which we’ve been doing for more than 15 years. After carefully assessing you and establishing goals and a plan to reach them, we bring everything necessary to deliver safe, fun and highly-effective personal training in the comfort of your home.
For those who like to lift heavy and/or prefer to exercise outside the home, our Leaside studio is available for private, semi-private or small-group training. Daytime and evening timeslots, a fully equipped private gym and tons of free parking – what’s not to love!
The exact same process, results, trainers and (awesome) experience as our in-home training option, but delivered via videoconference. All you need is a screen (laptop or tablet), Internet connection and a small amount of space – we’ll take care of the rest!
We offer two levels of service: Express (40-minute sessions) and Platinum (60-minute sessions + extra perks). Rates begin at $70/session (Express) and go up from there depending on the level of service you choose, how many sessions you purchase at once and how often you train. We don’t post it here simply to avoid confusion – but you will receive a full price sheet after your free first workout. No secrets or surprises!
One of the things that sets us apart from other personal training services is our unique process, which we’ve honed over the course of more than 17 years in business. Here’s an overview of how it works and what you can expect:
You will meet with one of our managers (Poul, Andre or Audrey) who will ask you some questions, do a physical assessment, and discuss both your goals and your options as it relates to service level and pricing/packages. If you’re a ‘yes’ right away, we’ll get you to fill out some onboarding forms at that time – and then set you up with one of our fantastic trainers. If you’re not quite ready or want to think about it, we will leave you with all the info you need to make an informed decision on your own time.
You’ll meet and start working with your trainer(s), but that’s not the last you’ll hear from our team of managers. Behind the scenes we collaborate closely to ensure you’re on-track, making progress and avoiding plateaus.
We’ll keep in touch with you to make sure you’re happy and comfortable. And we are always reachable for questions, comments, or concerns.
We will re-assess you at designated intervals (to be determined together when you sign up to work with us). When the time comes, a manager will attend one of your sessions with your trainer (after arranging it with you first), to measure your progress, and – no doubt – celebrate the results.
At this meeting, you’ll revisit your goals and perhaps set new ones, and the cycle begins again.
There is strength in numbers – a partner can be a great motivator, and almost always makes for an extra-fun workout. For $40 more per workout, you can have up to two additional friends or family members work out with you, which is a great way to maximize your investment.
Does your body ache? Does taking the stairs challenge you? If so then this is the place to begin. This safe and unique training method is designed to rehabilitate and heal your body through movement. Typical results include movement with less pain, more stability, balance and more energy.
All fitness results are built upon the foundation of a solid nutrition plan. We offer Virtual online nutritional coaching to support your exercise and lifestyle efforts. Your nutritionists will analyze your diet, coach you on your nutrition, and create a customized nutrition plan to support your goals..
Who couldn’t use a good stretch? We offer stretching in 20 to 60 minute blocks. When done properly and for long enough, stretching has a ton of benefits, including increased muscle length, strength and mobility, and lubrication of the joints. Many of our clients have reported experiencing less pain and tension due to tightness, along with a faster recovery. Plus, it just feels really good. (Not available virtually.)
There are many things that set us apart from the competition, but the most important one is our trainers. We select (and further train) only the best of the best. Our team is a kind and dedicated bunch and, most importantly, every single member has a strong understanding of exercise physiology, injury prevention and biomechanics. We also serve Markham, Vaughan, and Richmond Hill – and additional parts of Peel and Dufferin counties as well. We will keep you motivated, on-track and accountable – all you have to do is open your door and let us in. That said, we completely understand why some people prefer to exercise outside the home, which is why we also train clients out of a fully-equipped private studio!
We can work with you anywhere indoors or outdoors. We will come to the place that makes the most sense to you, whether that’s your backyard, outside of your office, condo, or even a local park (weather permitting). It doesn’t matter if you have a full set of dumbbells or nothing but and exercise mat. All we need in order to give you a top notch workout is your commitment and a 5’x5′ area.
Nope! All you need is a 5’ x 5’ space – that said, we’ll bring everything else you’ll need for great workout, each and every time. And if you do have equipment, we’ll absolutely make use of it!

Yes, we offer a full money-back service guarantee. If you’re not 100% fully satisfied with your experience after three weeks, and you cannot see and feel measurable results after working with us – at a minimum of twice per week and following our lifestyle advice – then we will give you every dime back no questions asked.
Yes we do. We’ll walk you through all the options at your consultation and first workout.
Typically our clients train with us 2 or 3 times per week, though some clients train once per week. We can certainly make a recommendation at your initial consultation based on your goals and timeline.
First of all, it’s important to note that we have incredibly high standards for our trainers – nobody makes the cut unless they are excellent, kind and know their stuff inside-out and backwards.
That said, if for any reason you aren’t satisfied with your trainer – or don’t feel they’re a fit for you – all you have to do is reach out and we’ll make it right. No questions asked.
One of the best things about training is that no two workouts will ever be the same. You can expect every single one to be dynamic, fun and a challenge – in the best possible way.

Generally speaking each client has a primary trainer. Some – especially those who train often – also have a secondary trainer. You may also work with another member of our team if your trainer is ill or away, but you will always be notified (and given the option to simply skip the session if you prefer).
We train clients seven days a week, from the crack of dawn into the evening hours.
We will explain this in detail when we meet but, in a nutshell, Platinum is our premium personal training option and Express is our more efficient and straightforward option.
Platinum is for clients who want a first-class, second-to-none personal training experience. If you have powerful and/or time-sensitive performance or weight loss goals, are competitive, over 55, pregnant, injured, recovering from an injury, or dealing with a chronic disease, Platinum is the way to go. In addition to full one-hour personal training sessions, it includes a copy of your workouts to do on your own, nutritional support and ongoing access to your trainer for support and guidance outside of your workouts.
The Express option is designed for those who want a great, efficient workout and don’t have special needs. Sessions are 40 minutes and it does not include nutritional support and exercise programs for you to do on your own.
No – in-home and studio training are subject to the same rates. There is a slight cost saving associated with virtual as there is no overhead or travel time involved.
Clients are invited and encouraged to mix it up and leverage two or even all three modes of working with us!
In response to prevent the spread of COVID-19 we are providing only Virtual Personal Training.
Fortunately this solution has enabled our clients to continue exercising live and one-on-one with their trainer(s).

Nope! All you need is a 6′ x 6′ space.
And know this – a good workout is based on effective design, not expensive exercise equipment. If you have a full gym, or nothing but an exercise mat, we can teach you how to use what you’ve got to achieve results.
We recommend you choose a place that makes the most sense to you, whether that’s your home, office, condo gym, or even a local park (weather permitting).
No two workouts will be the same. With Nielsen Fitness you don’t have to worry about being bored. Our sessions will be dynamic and fun. You will be challenged within your means and expected to work for the goals you desire.
From your first session on-wards, we will ensure you are fully satisfied with your trainer and overall experience. Nielsen Fitness has the highest hiring and trainer development standards anywhere.
And if for any reason you are not fully satisfied, we will work with you to make it right.
A word on choosing a trainer: Unfortunately, personal training is not a regulated industry (in Canada and the World). Because of this, the level of education and training can vary widely from trainer to trainer.
A good trainer will set realistic goals and design a strategy to achieve specific objectives. Your trainer should have a good network of physiotherapists, chiropractors and massage therapists to call upon. And knowledge of medications, injuries, physical and metabolic disorders is essential.
So ask a lot of questions. Check past references and education. Personality is also very important – your trainer should be a good communicator who is approachable and available to you.
