OUr new (to us) rowing machine

A lot of people don’t already know that in addition to being Toronto’s leading in-home personal training company, we also have a studio office at Yonge and Eglinton.

We recently added a new rowing machine to our studio, but this isn’t just any rowing machine.  It came to us from none other than 3x Olympic gold medal rower Marnie McBean. She even signed it for us! We’re honoured to have it, and will sweat on it proudly!

Benefits of rowing include:

  • It engages many muscles and joints at the same
  • Is low impact on the joints and almost anyone regardless of injury can use a rowing machine – vs running which not everyone can or should
  • Helps to increase blood flow and lubrication (synovium) to muscles and joints,
  • And thereby improves flexibility, especially in the hips and lower back
  • Excellent for the posterior chain muscles; shoulder blade muscles, lower back, muscles around his and behind knees, therefore
  • Can enhance the user’s posture
  • Not to mention it is a fantastic cardiovascular training tool
