How We're Different

Personal Trainer Online
In-home fitness assessment Toronto

There are a lot of personal trainers out there, which may have you wondering: why Nielsen Fitness and not one of those other guys?

There are many things that set us apart from the competition, but the most important one has to do with standards.

Personal training is an unregulated industry, which means that just about anyone can take a weekend course and call themselves a Certified Personal Trainer (not good).

There is SO much more to personal training than you might think (or than the old ‘meathead’ stereotype would lead you to believe) – especially when dealing with unique or special needs and older adults.

A good trainer will have a strong understanding of injury prevention, biomechanics, and exercise physiology – and that’s what you’ll get with us.

The standards for our team are incredibly high. Our trainers come from varied backgrounds – some are kinesiologists, others are chiropractic students and some are athletic therapists.

The one thing they have in common is that they all know their stuff, inside out and backwards. They’ve all met our stringent criteria and passed our (difficult) practical exam. We trust them, and so should you. They’re the best in the business.

We are also very proud of our unique process, which has been fine-tuned over more than 15 years and is the reason our clients see such tremendous success.

Read on below to meet our team (not a meathead in the bunch!).
