1. How long have you been training with Nielsen Fitness?
Since Nov 2015 – so a little over two years now.
2. What motivated you to take action to improve your fitness/wellness?
I’m in my mid-thirties and have been noticing my weight creeping up in recent years. I wanted to take control.
3. What led you to call us?
I was going to a gym, and even had a trainer there. But I always found excuses not to go, so I knew I needed to find another way. As for what led me to call them specifically, both my parents’ neighbour and a good friend work out with Nielsen Fitness so it was a no-brainer!
4. What do you like about working with Nielsen Fitness?
It’s so convenient and makes it easy to stick with it. There are no excuses when someone’s showing up on your doorstep! I also love that every workout is customized for me with a wide variety of exercises – and that my trainer has a great personality!
5. What changes have you noticed?
My energy is higher, and my sleep has improved. I also feel fitter and healthier, and feel strong – and capable of doing more. With my increased fitness, I’m feeling a broader awareness of nutrition and find myself having more control there, too.
6. What’s been a major milestone/success for you?
Being able to run! Once upon a time, I would have been winded very easily, so it’s a great feeling. I’ve also lost 4.5 inches off my waist since starting with Nielsen Fitness, which I’m really happy about.
7. Any advice for people on the fence about getting back in shape?
Set a goal for yourself so you have something to look forward to. And just do it! There’s a light at the end of the tunnel – but you need to start moving to get there.
8. What excites you most about the future and your health and fitness goals?
I’m most excited about feeling continuously happy with the way I look – feeling comfortable in my own skin – and my energy level.
